Membership Information
Westwood Sailing Club:
- is a not-for-profit co-operative adult sailing club located near downtown Toronto
- owns 23 sailboats for exclusive use by club members (14
Albacores, 4 Hobie Cats, 5 Lasers)
- has a limited Membership, which allows maximum use of boats for full members

Sailing Lessons / Learn to Sail
- Sailing lessons from accredited CYA
instructors
- Sailing lessons available for beginners
(White Sail, I, II & III)
- Sailing lessons available for intermediates
(Bronze, level IV)
- Hobie Cat sailing lessons for members with
White Sail III or equivalent
- Racing clinics, free with
membership

Recreational Sailing
- Recreational sailing is available on
weekdays and weekends
- On Thursday evenings we have a social
sail, where beginners are matched up
with more experienced sailors followed by
our famous Thursday Night Dinner feast.
Racing
- Weekly Friday Night races in one of
North America's largest fleets. Race
against other clubs with prizes for
Skipper and Crew in the top 5 boats
- Beginners are encouraged to sign up as
crew and participate in the competition,
in order to gain experience
- Weekend Regattas and Sunday afternoon Harbourmaster series on most
weekends throughout the summer
Social Activities
- Parties held frequently throughout
the sailing season, on warm summer
evenings on our deck under
the stars
- Champagne Breakfast, Pig
Roast, and Year-End Party are
only some of our famous
Westwood traditions
- Thursday Night social dinners,
hosted by volunteers
- Frequent casual Barbecues
after sailing all afternoon
Full Membership
Full membership includes use of Club boats, facilities, clinics, and
social events.
2010 Full Membership Fee:
$450
2010 Full Membership Fee, Full-Time Student Rate:
$400
2010 Basic Lesson Fee: $70 per course
Social Membership
Social membership includes 3 sails per season, use of Clubhouse facilities,
and social events. Lessons, Clinics, and Racing are not available.
2010 Social Membership Fee: $90
We have a 24-hour Hot Line for
information on upcoming club events.
Membership includes receipt of weekly
emails and periodic mailings which keep
you informed about what's happening at
the club.

Last year, the white sail classes were all sold out. Membership is
limited, so get your application in early to avoid disappointment.
